I had the pleasure of photographing Kendra and Matt yesterday morning. They are the owners of that sweet little sandwich and dessert shop in downtown Atwater on Drakely & Third Street called {the Kakery}. If you haven't tried it yet, you should. Go ahead and start with dessert while you're there. Its ok, I won't tell your mother.

Wedding Wire

I found a new website that can help someone looking for all or their wedding vendors all in one place. You can read all about other bride and groom's experiences with a vendor before you hire him or her. Take a look around if you're ready to start planning your wedding or leave some reviews for vendors you've used.

Ashley has accomplished a something spectacular!  She has earned her Young Womanhood Recognition Medallion.   This recognition is similar to what a Eagle Scout would earn, but on a more spiritual level. Young Women can start earning this when they are 12 years old and takes several years to complete.
If you want more information about it you can check out THIS website.

We ran out to capture a few images to document such a great achievement!

Congratulations Ashley!

It was so hard choosing just a few of my favorites from Lori & Travis' wedding day.  They are a beautiful couple and were surrounded by lots of family and friends, whom I could tell, really loved them!  It was an awesome wedding party to work with!

Congratulations Lori & Travis!

I LOVE IT!

I love it when I walk into a client's home or stumble across a client's blog and find that the portraits that I've taken for them displayed all over!

I love how creative everyone gets and how beautifully displayed they have all been!

If you have pictures of your walls that have my portraits displayed, please email me a picture. Or if you have my portraits on your blog, send me a link, I'd love to see what you have done.

Now, I've met some cute little girls in my life, but these three little charmers take the cake! I could have spent all evening photographing this beautiful family.  Thanks for playing girls!

It’s been a while since I've had the opportunity to do a photography shoot in Columbia. That's why I was so excited when Darien called me last week to do a family portrait session. The family decided to do their shoot in Old Town Columbia and don't think they could have picked a better spot.
Here are just a few to tide you over until your gallery is ready! It was great meeting you all!

Good Idea ~ bathroom baskets

As a wedding photographer I am constantly reading and watching other blogs for inspiration for my future weddings.  Occasionally I come across ideas that are really NEAT!  I find myself saying, "Next time I get married, I'm totally doing that!"  Then I realized I'm cool with the husband I have, so....no next wedding for me.
But that doesn't mean I can't share my find with you!

Today I found someone who created Bathroom Baskets for their wedding reception.  They are baskets filled with items someone might need at a party but may have forgotten or not thought about bringing. Some of the items are
Chapstick
Lint Roller
Shout Wipes
Tide-To-Go Stick
Gum
Hand Lotion
Deodorant
Colgate Wisps (mini disposable toothbrushes)
Mouthwash

She even has cute poems to place next to the baskets to let guests know that they are free to use what ever they need.  To see the rest of the list and read the poem check out Little Miss Wedding Planner.
